Attending a conference or symposium is one of the best ways to share ideas and new findings as a presenter and/or to learn about the science going on in your backyard as an attendee.
There are two local, watershed-specific, events going on in our study region I wanted to give a shout out to!
The York River Research Symposium is this Wednesday, March 30th at the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Virginia, featuring some of the research going on in the York River watershed. The CBNERR-VA sites are situated on the York River, so there is sure to be a lot of intriguing topics! Pre-registration is required.
The Patuxent River Conference (#PaxCon2016) is June 23rd and the call for abstracts is still open (until May 1st). You can find out more information here!
If you are interested in the research we are doing here on SciencePensieve, you most likely will be interested in research specifically going on in the York and Patuxent Rivers!
